Ryan Schneider (b.1980, Indianapolis, IN) received his BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in 2002. Schneider has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Recent solo exhibitions include “Mojave Pictures” at Taymour Grahne, New York, “You Are Entering”, at Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles (2015), “Dark Matters”, at the One River School in Englewood, NJ, and “Ritual for Letting Go”, at Two Rams, New York. Recent group exhibitons include “A Verdant Summer” at Taymour Grahne, New York, “Natural Selection” at The Hole, New York, “Media”, at Galleri Jacob Bjørn, Aarhus, Denmark, and “Et Brask Spark”- selections from the collection of Jens Peter Brask, at the Munkeruphus Museum, Denmark. Schneider’s work has been featured in the Brask Studio Visits book, Whitewall Magazine, Modern Painters, ArtNet, The New Yorker, Art in America, The Brooklyn Rail, ArtInfo, New American Paintings, Art F City, and Brask Art Blog. His work was recently acquired by the Hall Art Foundation in Reading, VT. Schneider lives and works in Joshua Tree, CA.
